4. Audit Logs (Logs)

The Logs feature of Jira Secure Fortress provides a detailed record of all important interactions with your encrypted fields. This is essential for regulatory compliance and for maintaining strict control over your sensitive information.

To access the logs:

  1. Navigate to the Secure Fortress Dashboard.
  2. In the Secure Fortress left side menu, click on Logs.

Log View​

The logs page displays a table with the following information:

  • Date: The exact date and time the action was performed.
  • Custom Field Id: The identifier of the affected field.
  • User: The user who performed the action.
  • Action: The type of event recorded (e.g., DECRYPT_VIEW, REMOVE_ALL_PERMISSIONS).
  • Value: The value of the field or permission involved in the action.
  • Key: The key of the issue where the event occurred (e.g., PROJ-123).

Export Logs​

For external analysis or archiving, you can export the audit logs to a text file (.txt).

To do this, click the Export button located at the top right of the log table. This will download a file with all the logs shown in the current view.
