Introduction

Welcome to the official documentation for the Jira Issue Picker DC add-on! πŸŽ‰

This add-on provides a powerful and flexible custom field that allows users to intuitively search for, select, and link one or multiple Jira issues directly from another issue. It is designed to streamline workflows where you need to create relationships between issues, such as tracking dependencies, referencing related tasks, or escalating bugs.

  • Powerful JQL Filter: As an administrator, you can define a JQL query to restrict the issues available for selection, ensuring that users can only link relevant issues (e.g., only bugs from the same project or only stories that are not resolved).

  • Intuitive Search: Users can find issues by typing the issue key or words from the summary, with results appearing instantly.

  • Rich Information Display: Don't just display an issue key. You can configure the view to show the priority, assignee, and status of the selected issue, giving you context at a glance.
