Work Profiles
Work Profiles in Jira Capacity Planner have evolved to offer much greater flexibility. Instead of a single global profile, you can now create multiple work profiles that define different work schedules. Each profile can be reused and assigned to one or more teams.
Holiday Calendars
Holiday Calendars are an essential tool for accurately adjusting your teams' real capacity. They allow you to register specific non-working days, such as national or regional holidays or company events, that are not part of the standard weekend defined in the Work Profile.
Absence Types
The Absence Types functionality allows you to create a standardized set of categories for employee absences. This standardization is key to obtaining a clear view and consistent reports on why a team member is unavailable.
Team Management
The Teams section is the organizational core of Jira Capacity Planner. This is where user groups are defined, assigned a work profile, linked to calendars, and their workload is filtered. A correct definition of teams is vital for capacity planning to be a true reflection of your organization's reality.
Enabled Projects
This section allows you to control in which Jira projects the Jira Capacity Planner tool will be available. For the planner tab to appear in a project's side menu, it must be explicitly added to the list of "enabled projects".
Dashboard Gadget
Jira Capacity Planner includes a powerful gadget that allows you to visualize the capacity planner directly on your Jira dashboards. This provides immediate visibility into team workload without needing to navigate to a specific project.
