Introduction to Jira Secure Fortress

Jira Secure Fortress is a Jira Data Center add-on designed to provide an additional layer of security and confidentiality for your sensitive information. It allows Jira administrators to create custom fields whose content is encrypted in the database, ensuring that only authorized users can view the information.

Main Features​

  • Encrypted Custom Fields: Create a new field type, "Encrypted Custom Field," whose value is stored securely.

  • Controlled Visibility: By default, the field's value is obfuscated (*******). Authorized users can temporarily reveal the actual value in the issue view.

  • Action Auditing: Record and export a detailed history of all interactions with the encrypted fields, such as who viewed a value and when.
